D. McClean

Joining the Irving team Fall of 2012, Ms. McClean previously worked at Berendo Middle School.  She enjoys teaching math immensely; she appreciates the organization and logic of the subject.  She has a BA in Psychology and Fine Art from Concordia University, Irvine.  Her single subject math teaching credential is from California State University, Northridge; and she has a Master's in Educational Technology and Leadership from Cal State L.A.  Currently, with Mr. Elicegui she is involved in Math for America which is a math fellowship opportunity.

Ms. McClean helps manage Jupiter Grades for Irving.  She is thrilled to help give parents and students access to their current academic standing.  This is a powerful way to stay up to date with the daily going-ons of the classes your students are enrolled in.

Ms. McClean is also the program leader for the 8th Grade Washington D.C. trip.  Hosted by worldstrides, students that sign up for the trip will have an opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. with their peers after finishing the 8th grade at Irving.  McClean is passionate about travel, she took her first trip when she was sixteen to Amsterdam.  Since then she has been to more than twenty different countries.  Most recently, she spent two weeks in the Eastern jungles of Panama.
