Rainy Day On Strike by Adriano Proenza

During the teacher strike, my mom, my little sister and I went to Irving (and my old school) to help support the teachers on strike. It was fun because there was food and little horns. I thought everyone was mad at us because they wouldn’t stop honking at us.My mom read my confused expression and told me that if they honk that means they support you. I felt way better after learning that. It was fun to play in the rain with my sister while we held up our umbrellas and signs. After about the 2 week strike ended, we had to go back to school. It was fun while it lasted.
