Robotics trip To Iowa by Nicholas Evaristo, 8th grade

The trip to Iowa was an amazing experience. It was my frist time riding on a plane in a while. We arrived in Iowa on Wednesday April 3 and stayed there until Sunday April 7. Our robotics teams participated in the Create U.S Open National Robotics Tournament. The tournament was very fast paced and we barely had any time to rest. The first day we got there was just to unpack and rest. The next few days of the week was back-to-back competiton. We placed 32nd with 5 wins and 5 losses. We ended up getting picked to go to playoffs anyway. Playing in those playoffs in that big stadium is really nerve wracking. My team made it to semi-finals and finished in 7th place. Overall, I think my team did pretty well for our first time.
